Easy Reporter continues to expand in terms of both usability and functionality. It now includes new, improved screens that allow you to customize Conversion Settings to define exactly how you want your data to appear. Additionally, you can further tailor the Payroll Results output using the new Sign Reversal feature.

Did you know you can directly load the data from an Easy Reporter report into the SAP Analytics Cloud solution?

This capability has now been extended to include the ability to import reports into Excel, PowerBI, and many other solutions using the Easy Reporter oData Connector.

And, you can now use Easy Reporter to push data from a report and trigger a Strato Workflow, which enables you to create documents or integrate with Strato Automate for email distribution.

For customers using Easy Reporter with the SuccessFactors Connector, this allows the merging of your HR and Payroll Data.  Enhancements include the ability to report manager details from SuccessFactors and improved performance of reports through automatic control of query size.

(Including Easy Clone for Employee Central)

Easy Clone has become increasingly popular among customers as a way to quickly create test scenarios using production data, including the ability to copy Employee Central data. As a result, the solution has continued to evolve and improve.

This release includes enhancements to the selection options in Easy Clone to help you choose the correct employees to copy. You can now add your own HCM selection fields, including custom info-types, to select SAP employees. If you are using the Employee Central extension, you can also now use selection criteria such as department, division, business unit, and more directly from SuccessFactors.

Further enhancements include new views for the Audit Logs, which have been enhanced for better investigation of issues.

Enhancements to the Migration & Implementation Solutions

Easy Migration can easily transfer your configuration to a new environment with minimal effort. If you want to clean up your configuration, remap it to new values, or merge multiple systems, this is the ideal solution for you.

 

Enhancements to this solution include the ability to see which countries are available for copying. When copying Payroll Schemas, these have been moved to their own copy type. If you are cleaning up configuration or merging multiple payroll systems together, additional configuration tables can now be remapped during migration.

Easy Go Live allows you to migrate your employees to your new SAP system (ECP or S/4HANA). It includes embedded testing and analysis tools to ensure that your payroll functions the same in the new system as it did in your legacy system.

This release includes new menus and content designed around best practices for migrating to a new system, implementing Employee Central, or implementing SAP HCM for the first time.

Parallel Run Testing has been improved with the ability for the entire team to simultaneously view and edit differences, as well as new, improved methods for investigating issues, including direct access to your old SAP environment. If you are comparing to a legacy (non-SAP) system, you can now use simpler methods for handling import files when comparing to non-SAP systems.

Undoubtedly one of the most refreshing aspects of working with our partners on SAP Store is the sheer simplicity they often bring to everyday business tasks. For example, take Easy Reporter by SpinifexIT, a solution for HR and payroll departments. Easy Reporter works with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, and SAP ERP Human Capital Management (HCM) to bring together payroll data for reporting. As a result, a task that could take days is done in minutes.

“Payroll data typically resides in multiple systems, and the SAP software is sophisticated and multifaceted. Our solution merges all that data and calculates it for reporting. It’s designed for end users, who need only the Easy Reporter interface to create their reports; no IT skills required.”

Easy Reporter comes with prewritten report templates that can be used “off the shelf” or as a baseline template. Business users can generate their own formats without coding and make changes on the fly to best suit their needs. “For companies with a lot of complex payroll variables – those that are unionized, for example, or rely heavily on contract labor – this can streamline processes and help them realize efficiencies,” he remarked. In these cases, extensive variabilities in work categories, payment rates, tax implications, and so on significantly complicate reporting. And the target customers? “Any enterprise that uses SAP software for payroll and HR processes.”

From Records to Reports: A Single Streamlined Solution

A typical customer of SpinifexIT starts with around 30 reports that they identify to help them run their business. But, as their business evolves and more reporting needs become apparent, customers often scale and build hundreds of reports within 12 months, helping them deliver value and information across their enterprise. It truly streamlines their ability to access and distribute data. 

Based in Melbourne, SpinifexIT has hundreds of customers throughout Australia, North America, Europe, and APAC. The company began back in 2003 when Darren and his colleague Darren Pithie – the two Darrens – recognized that their consulting clients were all building pretty much the same reports. “They were working in silos and creating overhead for IT, who had to maintain the software and handle change requests,” he remembered. “We knew we could deliver a product for everyone, covering the basic requirements and adding more functionality. Several of our customers were glad to work with us to create and evolve the product. After six or seven years of working nights and weekends, we decided to go on our own.”

They came up with a name using “Spinifex”, a hardy desert grass, “because we’re really tough.”

Since then, the company has grown to 100+ employees based primarily in Melbourne and the Philippines, with sales and consulting offices in the U.S. and Europe.

Products have expanded to include Easy Migration for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, which helps customers migrate to the cloud, and Easy Go Live for SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll to simplify implementation. In addition, employees can use Easy Help Desk for SAP ERP HCM for troubleshooting and addressing inquiries quickly. Other options from SpinifexIT available on SAP Store include add-ons for document distribution, data anonymization, and region-specific functionality.

“Customers usually start with Easy Reporter because reporting is the most time-consuming process,” Darren noted, “and then add other relevant options as needed.” 

SpinifexIT was along for the ride when SAP acquired SuccessFactors about 10 years ago. The team gradually incorporated SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central into the reporting engine, transitioning to the cloud while retaining and improving the integration with SAP Payroll Processing
on-premise.

Collaboration with the Ecosystem: A Calculated Strategy

One key growth strategy for SpinifexIT, Darren told me, has been collaborating with SAP’s ecosystem of partners. Having been part of that ecosystem for most of their careers, working with related companies in a technical capacity with SAP payroll software, that’s come naturally – and has been entirely intentional. “SAP’s partners frequently take on the presales role, managing implementations, and helping customers in an advisory capacity in many different regions. Often, other partners reach out to us to join forces on the customer’s behalf.” As for SAP Store, he said, “Our visibility has increased significantly, which has accelerated the number of opportunities we get from customers globally, and it continues to build momentum.”

    • Creating and designing the necessary documents required in the demo/ training scenario
    • Creating the workflow automations to support the process
    • Testing that the automations and the documents work as intended
    • And as needed, recording the demo/ training scenario as an internal or external reference

 

 

The role will also require you to learn SpinifexIT’s Easy Suite solution and its integration with SAP SuccessFactors to produce hybrid EC and Payroll reports, clone and scramble EC, ECP, and Payroll data, and more. The ability to be flexible across both solution suites (full cloud and hybrid) is a must.

 

 

Expertise & Experience:

 

    • Solid knowledge in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central (required), and other SAP SuccessFactors modules (Recruitment, Performance Management, etc.)
    • Hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors implementation
    • Experience with standard SAP SuccessFactors reporting tools – Adhoc Query, BIRT, etc.
    • Remarkable end-user experience of the Employee Central system
    • Knowledge across the HCM & Payroll document generation and reporting needs across the employee’s HR lifecycle
    • Strong experience in document and report generation, document management processes and best practices
    • Strong engagement and partnership attributes with customers and business units

In 2021, SpinifexIT’s Strato solution suite for SAP SuccessFactors document automation and generation saved a total of 2 million sheets of paper from being used and printed on.

Two million sheets is equivalent to 200 trees being saved from being put to use to print offer letters, contracts, and many other HR and payroll documents.

To thank our customers for choosing Strato, and to further offset our carbon footprint, we’ve partnered up with One Tree Planted to save the Australian forests from further deforestation and to help restore its habitats vital for Australia’s diverse wildlife.

Tree planting initiatives like these will not only protect the Australian wildlife today, but would also reduce the risk of catastrophic impact from wildfires and other climate change related disasters in the future. This Valentine’s Day, we have donated 200 trees to the organization to match the number of trees saved by our Customers through the use of Strato.

  • Our development teams work together with each or our solutions’ Product Managers to conceptualize, develop, prototype, test, improve, and optimize SpinifexIt solutions. These can be for new and upcoming features or enhancement for existing functions as part of our regular solution updates.
  • The development teams also work hand in hand with Marketing, Consulting, Learning and Customer Care to provide the needed solution specifications and documentation
  • SpinifexIT is hiring 10 Junior Solution Developers and are open to accepting fresh graduates / graduates with internship experience to join its growing team of global talent.

Fresh graduates are invited to apply for the Junior Solutions Developer position.

Graduates from BS Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or other related courses are welcome to apply.

A working knowledge around web software and/or cloud-based apps is required. The ability to work around Javascript Frameworks, Angular, Vue.js, or ReactJS, and SAP UI5 is a huge plus!

Fresh graduates with internship experience / part time work experience related to solution / software development will be highly considered.
