Easy Reporter for SAP SuccessFactors

Extend Easy Reporter to include Employee Central and other SAP & SAP SuccessFactors Data.

What is Easy Reporter for SAP SuccessFactors?

For customers who have both Employee Central and SAP Payroll (Employee Central Payroll, S/4HANA or SAP ERP), combining Information from both SAP SuccessFactors and SAP Payroll Information is not straightforward.

The Easy Reporter SAP SuccessFactors Connector allows you to easily report both ECP Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Information together in real-time to provide operational reporting to the HR or Payroll Team, The Managers, or even directly to the Employees.

This can be easily run directly from SAP SuccessFactors without any technical knowledge.

SAP Payroll to Employee Central Reporting

Any existing report you build can now include SAP SuccessFactors employee data beside any SAP Employee Central Payroll information. This is all available through the standard Easy Reporter drag-and-drop interface for building reports.

For any SAP Employee, during the processing of the employee data, this will connect to SAP SuccessFactors to read the Employee Central information for inclusion on any report.

Key Features
  • Employee Central fields can be generated directly from SAP SuccessFactors entities.
  • Employee Central time fields are also available for reporting absences, attendances and leave balances.
  • Fields are automatically linked to the SAP Employee through Easy Reporter.
  • Custom Entities and Fields from SAP SuccessFactors can be easily included for reporting.
  • Selection screen fields are automatically added to any reports with SAP SuccessFactors data. Employee Central data can be read based on a specific date, but you can also use advanced options including:
    • Report data based on the start or end date of any period
    • Report all data transactions within a specified period
  • Buffering of selection fields and manager hierarchy can be activated for fast performance.
  • Ability to report the employee’s manager’s information, but based on the position hierarchy in SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Include the foundation object hierarchy into reports for division, department, and position.
Common Use Cases
  • Sorting and grouping payroll information by SAP SuccessFactors fields such as site, department, position & many more.
  • Including SAP SuccessFactors data beside payroll information for either reporting or interfaces.
  • Comparison of SAP SuccessFactors information to the SAP Payroll data, to validate replication.
  • Automating exception-based data auditing that considers payroll and Employee Central data to ensure data integrity – for example during leaves of absence, transfers or special employment conditions.

Reporting SAP SuccessFactors Employees Directly

In many cases, you may also need to be able to report employees directly from SAP SuccessFactors. The advantage of this is that you will be able to report employees who are not connected to the SAP employees.

This is beneficial for customers who have parts of the organization that isn’t connected directly to the SAP Payroll. For example: the employee data is in SAP SuccessFactors but the employee isn’t paid in Payroll.

If the payroll data is required though, it is possible to connect to SAP to also report the payroll data beside the Employee Central information.

Common Use Cases
  • Reporting SAP SuccessFactors information directly. Include any Easy Reporter functionality for distribution, interfaces, calculations, and many more.
  • Reporting the entire organization but including payroll data if employees are linked together.
  • Global reporting, such as head count, census, and auditing, where payroll and Employee Central populations are different.

Reporting other SAP
SuccessFactors Data Sources

Other entities from SAP SuccessFactors can also be included into Easy Reporter. Any entity that includes an API can be included (including any custom fields on this).

Please note: Some entities have limited reporting capabilities, so please discuss your reporting needs with our SpinifexIT Consultants.

These fields can be included in any report and use any of the Easy Reporter functions.

Key Features
  • Fields can be generated directly from SAP SuccessFactors entities.
  • Automatically linked to the SAP Employee through Easy Reporter.
  • Custom entities and fields from SAP SuccessFactors can be easily included for reporting.
  • Selection screen fields are automatically added to any reports with SAP SuccessFactors data.
  • Buffering of selection fields and manager hierarchy can be activated for fast performance.
  • Include filters to limit the SAP SuccessFactors data immediately based on the report selection fields. This allows much less data to be transferred.

Common areas for reporting

  • Reporting position details

  • Report the organizational structure separately from employees

  • Recruiting data (requisition, application, candidate, and more)

Execute and edit Reports directly from SAP SuccessFactors

Any Easy Reporter report can be executed directly from SAP SuccessFactors. Through this pre-built interface, you can run the reports with the following restrictions.

This will allow a manager to view items such as their employees’ payroll details, overtime, leave, or just employee master data. You can select the data to be displayed using dates, date ranges, or even payroll periods.

Manager Self Service

Reports set up this way will restrict a manager to only see their staff.

  • The Manager self-service reports will automatically limit the employees reported to those within the manager's hierarchy. This is based on the SAP SuccessFactors Position Hierarchy, so there is no need to have the Organizational Structure or additional Structural Authorizations inside the Payroll Environment.

  • Reports can include SAP selection fields or SAP SuccessFactors selection fields.

  • SAP SuccessFactors selection fields will include the SAP SuccessFactors hierarchy, allowing you to easily select a location and all areas under that location.

Employee Self Service

Reports set up as Employee Self Service will restrict the data to display information only for the logged-in SAP SuccessFactors user. These reports will automatically show data only for the logged-in user.

This allows an employee to see their own data, including both SAP SuccessFactors and payroll data. The employee can select the data to be displayed using dates, date ranges, or even payroll periods.

Payroll Administrators

For the Payroll or Reporting Team, it is possible to run any Easy Reporter report directly from SAP SuccessFactors.

These reports allow for the same type of execution as can be performed directly in Easy Reporter and include selection screen fields from either SAP Payroll or Employee Central.

These reports can be run directly or in the background.
