20+ years in the SAP ecosystem across SAP, Partner, and Customer roles has given me a unique perspective on what makes our SAP community so powerful – collaboration, shared learning, and a constant drive to evolve.

Since joining SpinifexIT as a Global Solution Architect just over six months ago, that perspective has sharpened, seeing firsthand how the right tools can simplify complexity and accelerate business operations.

I was delighted to have the opportunity to attend and present at the recent Australian Customer Days, connecting face-to-face with our customers, exchanging ideas, and sharing what’s new at SpinifexIT, where our roadmap is heading, and how we’re aligning with SAP’s strategic direction. This blog provides a brief summary of the key themes and insights covered across the sessions.

The Heart of Innovation: Connecting with Customers

At SpinifexIT, our core belief – that our success is intrinsically linked to the success of our customers – drives our product development. Our mission has always been to simplify the complexities of SAP and empower our customers to achieve long-term success. That commitment was on full display during our recent Customer Information Sessions across Australia in February, where we were delighted to reconnect with you – our valued customers.

The sessions were designed as a collaborative forum, giving us a vital opportunity to connect directly with you, listen to your evolving needs, and share the latest innovations driving your HR and payroll operations forward.

The tone was set by our host, Nathan Wood, VP Sales ANZ, who reminded everyone that feedback is a gift – and jokingly threatened to lock the doors until feedback forms were completed.

Kim Rawlings, National Director – Consulting & Customer Success, alongside Senior Consultant Tony Vitelli, kicked things off by sharing what’s new and what’s next, highlighting the latest Easy Suite 2026.R1 release – driven by your feedback.

Showcased innovations included Easy Suite AI with the SpinifexIT Copilot, providing in-product support through natural language queries. This is available across the suite, including Easy Reporter, Easy Dashboards, Easy Helpdesk, Payroll Control Center, and Easy Reporter Web – now featuring an improved interface with a draggable floating window, solution-based filtering, and full-screen mobile capability.

We also shared a timely reminder of Release Support Cycle end dates, along with the benefits of participating in our Early Adopter Pilot Program, including two days of complimentary training.

Finally, we provided insight into how SpinifexIT is supporting Payday Super, aligned with SAP through a phased approach. Kim and Tony also shared real-world customer challenges and solutions, along with a reminder of the value of our free Solution Health Checks and the Easy STP special offer.

Key Takeaways: Modernising Your SAP Landscape

A central and critical theme of our Customer Days was SpinifexIT’s unwavering dedication to modernising our solutions. We are committed to ensuring our portfolio not only aligns with but actively accelerates your move to the SAP Cloud either SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or S/4HANA.

  • HCM Move Accelerator Program
    We discussed the HCM Move Accelerator Program, a packaged offering designed to cut through the complexity of migrations to the Cloud. The program combines our powerful software solutions with a clearly defined, accelerated and proven migration process including best practices and expert guidance. Moving an existing SAP HCM system to a new landscape like ECP or S/4HANA can be a time-consuming and resource-intensive endeavor. The Accelerator Program significantly reduces the project lifecycle by automating data verification, reporting, and cloning processes, ensuring a smoother, faster, and more secure transition.

  • S/4HANA Compatibility: Customers got confirmation that all supported SpinifexIT products are and will continue to remain S/4HANA certified. 

  • For our customers who have already adopted or are planning their move to Employee Central Payroll (ECP) we shared how the Easy Reporter oData Connector can be used to securely share your data outside of your SAP HCM environment as an OData feed enabling the external systems to query the oData feed without ABAP or IT professionals. 

  • Additionally Customers learnt how Easy Reporter SAP Cloud Integration or Strato Integration both offer the ability to send an output file / any Easy Reporter report from SAP HCM to a third party system (internal or external) including SFTP, Sharepoint, Secure Email, Google Drive, MS Azure and more when integration orchestration (routing, transformation, scheduling, monitoring) between SAP and other systems is required – for example sending password protected reports.
A Look to the Future: Research & Development Updates
Our commitment to innovation extends beyond today’s migration challenges. We shared updates from our R&D roadmap that will define the future user experience within the Easy Suite. It was exciting providing our Customers with the strategic context behind our product roadmap demonstrating the alignment with SAP’s future direction. In particular the importance of deploying our solutions onto the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) as web browser based applications in support of both SAP’s Clean Core Strategy; And the integration of SAP Business AI in the SpinifexIT Easy Suite  using the Customers own BTP environment and SAP’s own contractual and secured AI deployment framework.    
  • Accelerating Web Solutions Focus: In recognition of the industry trend towards modern, intuitive interfaces like SAP SuccessFactors and S/4HANA, and as prerequisite for BTP deployment, we are heavily accelerating our investment in fully web-based interfaces. Future development will be centered on enhancing the Easy Reporter Web front end. Furthermore, a brand-new web-based version of Easy Helpdesk is planned to be introduced in R2. 2026. This focus ensures our tools provide a modern, device-agnostic, and user-friendly experience consistent with the latest cloud applications.

  • The Power of AI Integration: In line with the SAP direction of embedding AI into the business process you can look forward to the integration of the SpinifexIT AI CoPilot for scenarios in Easy Help Desk Web that can assist your daily operations providing business value such as: 
    • Intelligent payroll investigation
    • Assisted root-cause analysis and 
    • Guided resolution recommendations

Using natural language queries, drastically simplifying complex tasks like report generation, data analysis, and troubleshooting. The CoPilot is poised to become the intuitive interface for your payroll team in the future.
