What is Easy Validate?

Using Easy Validate

To use Easy Validate, you first select a scenario (such as the use cases listed above).

STEP 1

A dashboard view that highlights the number of errors encountered during the comparison process.

STEP 2

To examine these, click to view the records. Each record will have a status (Ok or Error). Columns with issues can be highlighted. From here:

Drill down screens to view the data. For each record, you can set statuses, reason codes, track notes and link issues to a ticket number.

STEP 4

Include detailed reports to quickly drill down into issues and investigate directly in the Parallel Run screen.

STEP 5

Alternatively, you can jump to our Easy Help Desk Lite, to help you streamline deep investigations.

STEP 6

Ability to flow prior investigation notes and status codes into each subsequent run to keep a historical view, but also help examinations.

The primary goal is to detect disparities in the data across numerous tables within Payroll, finance postings, bank files, and beyond.

This empowers you to analyze the outcomes before and after your system upgrade, ensuring a smooth transition.

Easy Validate during Implentation & Migration

Over time, most customers either go through additional implementations of payroll and/or migrations to a new environment.

Easy Validate comes with pre-built scenarios that allow for the Parallel Run process.

Continued Runs

In many instances, especially when dealing with intricate new configurations or system upgrades, you may find yourself in a situation where you’ve conducted a comparison, unearthed various issues, and now need to adjust the configuration, modify settings, or implement other corrective actions.

The beauty of this process is that the initial investigation work remains intact. You can make adjustments to your configuration and initiate another scenario run.

This run can still be compared to the original results (prior to the upgrade or configuration change). Any notes you’ve recorded during prior investigations seamlessly integrate into this new run, preserving your investigative history.

This approach empowers you to conduct multiple scenario runs, potentially spanning one or two weeks, while also monitoring and reporting trends that highlight error investigations and analyses.

Monitoring & Reporting

As part of Easy Validate, you will have access to a pre-built dashboard that allows you to monitor any of the scenarios that have been run.

This allows for easy tracking, especially when you might need to run multiple executions.

How does Easy Validate work?

Easy Validate is simple to set up. It comes out of the box with predefined scenarios, but if you have your own use cases, you can create the reports you need to identify the errors.

This uses the SpinifexIT Easy Reporter report builder, for the creation of the scenarios. These reports can only be used within Easy Validate though.

Once you have a scenario built, it can be easily selected and run. You can specify dates and selection criteria to run for specific groups of employees. 

Easy Validate & Easy Reporter:
A Winning Combination

It’s important to understand that Easy Validate does not serve as a substitute for Easy Reporter.

While Easy Validate utilizes the reporting engine from Easy Reporter, there are distinct capabilities in Easy Reporter that are not available in Easy Validate.

On the other hand, Easy Reporter does not provide access to the auditing features present in Easy Validate.

We recommend that most customers recognize the advantages of using both Easy Reporter and Easy Validate in tandem as integral components of their Payroll Process.
